Results Days Campaign

To make the most of the media opportunities available on A level and GCSE exam results days, our strategy was to dominate the media landscape by positioning Careers Wales as the go-to experts for guidance and help.

We successfully placed articles on advice for students who didn’t get their expected grades; listicles on exam preparation and advice for parents; Q&As with Careers Wales advisers; and a feature on the best career advice ever received by Welsh business people, professionals and celebrities. A regional roadshow titled ‘Are you ready for work?’ also helped us generate further coverage and awareness.

In total, we delivered 60 pieces of coverage across 26 outlets; 140% more than the previous year. Targeted social media adverts also increased Careers Wales’ Facebook likes by 31%. In October 2016, the campaign picked up the gold award for ‘education communications campaign’ at the CIPR Cymru Pride Awards.
